Graduation!

Last night marked the end of an era. It was my high school graduation. One chapter of my life closed as the celebrations commenced, and another chapter began as the night ended. But what is a graduation without the glitz and the glamour? You all know me well by now, and how much I love everything to do with fashion, hence why I decided to share every element of my outfit with you all.

Dress:

I have never worn a completely red dress before, and to be completely honest, red has never been my colour. This changed when I saw this stunning Alex Perry Tiffany gown. I knew I had to try it on, as it was everything I had dreamed of in a dress and as soon as I did so I thought, "Wow, Alex Perry makes a good red dress".

Seeing as I could not find my size anywhere in Melbourne, I had the gown flown in from the Flagship store in Sydney, and lucky I did because these babies were difficult to find! I had the dress, and now I had to find all the right accessories to match!

Shoes:

If you follow me on Instagram (_chelsealiz) you may recognise the nude patent heels I wear with most of my outfits. These are Christian Louboutin 12cm pumps that I absolutely adore. While the shoes were expensive, I can honestly say I get so much wear out of them and that they are the comfiest high heels I own! Not only that, but they are also quite durable. The fact that I went to a busy night club not long ago wearing them, and they still look brand new is testament to this!

Jewellery:

In terms of jewellery, I wore a pair of Chanel costume pearl studs. I chose these as they are quite large and bold, and wanted to have some fun with the look I wanted to achieve. I also wore a simple gold ring, but avoided any other pieces of jewellery to adhere to the cliché, "Less is more".

Hair and Makeup:

I wore my hair in a messy ponytail as I opted for something simple, seeing as I wanted the dress to steal the show. In order to do this I also kept my makeup quite simple, and used Napoleon products. My eyes were kept very basic and plain, with light eyeshadow, mascara and eyeliner. I then wanted to go for the 'Red on Red' look and therefore wore a Napoleon red lipstick.

I am so happy I got to celebrate such a great event with such amazing company, and cannot believe that the high school part of my life is over. I wish all of my peers and any other graduates around the world, the best for whatever the future may hold.
