'Ungiven Gifts'

Good evening everyone,

For those situated in Melbourne, Australia I recommend you visit the State Library tomorrow the 27th as there is a display directly out the front of it which has been arranged by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) in order to remember those effected by road trauma. In their outdoor exhibition 'gifts that will never be given' are displayed, that is gifts that were meant for individuals that have died on our Victorian roads. From skateboards, to hair dryers and jewellery boxes with rings still inside, this exhibition is truly tragic and reminds us all about the importance of driving safely on the roads this holiday season. If you are in a position to visit the display, you are able place a candle on a gift in commemoration of that particular individual, which every day is redone by other members of the public. It is important that during the upcoming holiday festivities we remember those unfortunate victims of road trauma and their broken families and that when these victims stepped into their vehicles, they would have thought as anyone would have that they were headed for a destination, and were not prepared for what would happen.

Head to the TAC Facebook page for more details which can be found here:

Drive safely and always remember those victims of road accidents,

Chelsea Elizabeth xx
