Getting a selfie with Tim Dormer!

Hey there! How is everyone? Me? Well lately I've been quite well, and very busy too due to the schooling side of my life. At the moment there are so many assessments going on at school, but I am counting down and trust me, there's not long to go now!

To escape the pile of homework that was sitting on my desk, mum took me out for some afternoon tea yesterday to our favourite little place in the city. After that we decided to walk around and see what was happening, and to my luck I met Tim Dormer from Big Brother 2013!
Myself and Tim Dormer, Australia's Big Brother winner for 2013.
Tim was just as cool as he had seemed on Big Brother, and just as good looking too!  The thing I thought was great about Tim was that he actually spoke to his fans for a few minutes, not only taking photos with them, but also immersing in conversation. He looked all formal and was suited up for the Logies here in Melbourne, doing well for the winner of Big Brother.

How'd you spend your Sunday night?

Chairs

Sadly the time has come. Sadly I will be returning to school tomorrow after two weeks of bliss. I thought I would distract my heartbreak of the school holidays being over by discussing the last day of school holidays and chairs.

The last day of school holidays has two key aspects:

1. Quickly finishing off any last reminants of homework.

2. Procrastinating in the meantime.

The 2nd point is one quite deceiving. I often find myself writing to-do lists but I find that no matter how many points I write on those lists, procrastination always finds a way in.

So while I should probably be encouraging you to finish those last few errands, I am going to advise that you do as I have done prior to writing this. Have a look at the ultimate source of procrastination, '25 Amazing Pictures of Chairs' at www.photographyblogger.net/25-amazing-pictures-of-chairs/.

You'll be intrigued by the beauty of what we often underestimate, the things that support us and allow us to achieve day-to-day life, chairs.

The Good Friday Appeal

For some, today is the beginning of a weekend filled with the celebration of Easter. While Easter comes with a lot of chocolates and perhaps some presents from the Easter Bunny, it is important to keep in mind those less fortunate.

Today is Good Friday, and for those in Australia you will have heard of the Good Friday Appeal. If you're going to do anything today, I strongly recommend you donate anything- big or small, to the Good Friday Appeal. By doing so, you will be raising funds for well needed education, research and equipment to support The Royal Children's Hospital.

To donate go to, www.goodfridayappeal.com.au/donate

Coachella Queen

For those of you that don't know, Coachella is an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. It is known for it's stellar line-ups and celebrity attendees. There is however, one celebrity that appears at the festival year after year, which I would deem Coachella Queen due to her groovy attire. Who is the celebrity? Vanessa Hudgens! Year after year Vanessa gets it right, dressing very young and bohemian, mostly alongside her beau Austin Butler... And who can blame her!

Let me know what you think of Hudgens' style...

High Tea at the Grand Hyatt

Seeing as my grandma goes to visit my aunty (who lives on the other side of Melbourne) every Easter, as a way of celebrating Easter earlier, mum and I took my grandma out for high tea! It has become a tradition to do this and we have visited a few venues for high tea in the past including The Langham and Crown.

Here's to the part I assume you're all waiting for; what we ate. First up we were given a tiered stand with some savoury snacks. We were given homemade sausage rolls, bagels with mozzarella and tomato, (my favourite) chicken sandwiches, and a roll with salmon. All of these were bite size, and were quite tasty and light.

Following this we were told to help ourselves to the dessert station which had everything any sweet tooth would dream of. Being the dessert enthusiast I am, I went a little crazy. The buffet section had everything from macaroons of every flavour (even popcorn), to cheesecake, and to waffles. The options were endless. I felt like I had won the golden ticket and visited Willy Wonka.

Included in the package was unlimited tea and coffee. For me that meant I could enjoy a soy chai latte and some chamomile tea in the booth where we we sat that overlooked the city street.

While I'm still full from the many rounds of dessert I enjoyed, I strongly recommend that you take advantage of the Grand Hyatt's high tea experience, and I promise you will not be disappointed.

Did I mention there's persian fairy floss too?

Chanel is fundamentally an art form.

Handbags? They seem more like works of art to me. One can only dream of Chanel... And on that note, I hope you have a lovely Friday night!

Style Inspiration: Ariana Grande

Am I the only one in awe of everything about Ariana Grande? Hmm... Let's see. She can sing beautifully, she can act, and well most of all she always dresses incredibly. I am so inspired by Ariana's fashion sense due to its youthfulness and classicality. It doesn't stop with her clothes. Even her hair colour and hairdo is contemporary and chic!

'Wednesday Addams'

For those of you that didn't know, over the weekend I attended a 90s themed birthday party. I was keen to get my outfit perfect, and when mum told me that we would all be going as 'The Addams Family', I must say that I was a little hesitant. I ended up taking on the challenge of creating a modern day Wednesday costume as stylish as possible and here's how.

Me as 'Wednesday Addams'.

Hair- I had my hair in two braids that led into two plain pigtails, not only stylish but also inexpensive!

Make-up- I wore simple make-up (foundation, blush, bronzer and mascara) with plum coloured lipstick, the same colour as my nail polish!

Clothing & accessories- I wore an ASOS dress along with black stockings and black suede chunky heels. I also wore a plain faux pearl bracelet and faux pearl earrings.

Let me know what you think,

With a new recipe to wake up to every day, the application offers various recipes suitable for both stubborn and carefree eaters. Features of The Whole Pantry include guides to assist your mental and physical wellbeing, recipes for every meal of the day, and recommended books, products and websites for "a little bit more".
